engineers, architects and materials
scientists, dedicated to providing practical,
innovative and sound solutions to problems in
existing structures. Since its establishment
in 1956, WJE has successfully completed
investigative, testing and repair design
projects involving virtually every type of
construction material, structural system, and
architectural component.
HIPERPAV
Transtec, Inc. and the FHWA have recently
completed a research project focused on
modeling the early-age development of
concrete strength and stresses that result
from moisture and temperature changes within
the pavement. A comprehensive software
package termed HIgh PERformance PAVing (HIPERPAV)
has been developed during this effort. The
HIPERPAV software is a user-friendly Windows
based application program. HIPERPAV is
capable of assessing the influence of PCC
pavement design, concrete mix design,
construction methods and environmental
conditions on the early-age behavior of
Portland cement concrete.
